Documentation is the single source of truth (SSOT)

In a perfect working world, one would be able to maintain a truly single source (tool, app, document, etc) of all relevant truth. But given myriad requirements, internal and external collaboration and differing tool capabilities, the reality is that we must use the best tool for any given job. So, instead of declaring our handbook as the single source of truth for everything, we instead say that documentation itself, in its relevant container, is the single source of truth. Put another way: if it’s not written down, it’s not “truth”.

The Roivant IT Handbook

The Roivant IT handbook is the source for all processes, techniques, values and decisions for the IT organization. If it is for or about IT, it should be in the handbook.

The IT Knowledgebase

The IT Knowledgebase is the source of truth for all tips, tricks, instructions and advice for Roivant and Vant Federation colleagues. If it is from IT, for our company, it should be in the Knowledgebase.

O365 Word Docs

See advice on what O365 is good at.

Confluence

Confluence may be useful for some of its dynamic apps and addons, or for content pages that must be updated manually, with great frequency. This can be especially useful when interfacing with other teams or organizations but again, if it is for or about IT, it should go in the handbook.
